Did I miss something? Was it just a dream? Or did a black man with he middle name Hussein win the presidential election in the United States of America? I think not.
Why then do republican leaders in Washington feel that they have the right to override the democrats' policies in such a dramatic way that they start to look like their own? John Mc Cain, after being rejected by the American people is still on Capitol Hill, giving it his best to keep pushing the failed policies of the Bush administration upon us. Individuals who would never have imagined themselves voting for an African American as president did so because they were fed up with the government, even taking a chance on a guy with an Islamic background.
I don't know about you guys, but I still believe that voting is our ultimate form of expression in this country, and this time around we expressed that we wanted nothing more to do with the likes of Mr. Bush, Rove, Chaney, and those who shamelessly pushed their policies of country building and self destruction over the past 8 years. It's time for them to take their places and let Obama fix this mess!
